I always struggle when photographing places like this. Grand, well-known landscapes leave very little room for error. They have been seen, shared, and framed countless times, and the challenge is finding a way to engage with them honestly, without repeating what already exists.
They are iconic for a reason.

My work reveals its full strength when experienced as a large print. Images like this are built for physical presence. When printed at scale, the landscape holds the viewer’s space, creating a moment of stillness and attention. The photograph does not ask for explanation—it defines the room it inhabits.

What sets this image apart is perspective. The chosen angle allows the waterfalls to introduce movement into an otherwise grounded terrain. That motion gives the frame energy while preserving balance. Black and white was essential. The wide tonal range reinforces depth and separation, allowing the landscape to breathe without distraction.
